Preparing for the Test:

  • Wear loose and comfortable attire.
  • Abstain from smoking for 4-6 hours prior to the test.
  • Refrain from consuming caffeine 24 hours before the test.
  • If your test is in the morning, you may have a light breakfast.
  • If your test is in the afternoon, you can have a regular breakfast followed by a light lunch before the test.
  • Bring an updated list of your medications.
  • Bring your physician-signed prescription and a form of identification.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide 24 hours’ notice by calling (585) 798 – 8044.
  • If you are using supplemental oxygen therapy, continue as prescribed.
  • Only refrain from using breathing medications, caffeinated beverages and foods, and tobacco prior to the test.
