Our Nutritional Services Department helps people maintain good health with good nutrition. Highly qualified Clinical Dietitians provide nutritional assessments, and develop, plan, and monitor nutritional care. Services for outpatients include:

Services provided to hospital inpatients include:

  • Nutritional screens within 24 hours of admission
  • Comprehensive nutritional evaluations
  • Monitoring of nutritional supplements needs
  • Monitoring for food-drug interaction in collaboration with other health team members
  • Providing nutritional education for specific diets ordered by your doctor

Services provided to nursing home residents include:

  • Specialized knowledge in geriatric nutritional needs
  • Education and dietary counseling for specific diets or healthy eating for residents

Services for dialysis patients include:

  • Monitoring of laboratory reports by a Registered Dietitian
  • Ongoing nutritional counseling
  • Monitoring of the need for specific renal nutritional supplements

Diabetes Education

  • Diabetes Education (One-on-One)
    One-on-one sessions are available with Marian Miano, RN, CDE, as well sessions with a registered dietician
  • 2-Hour Basic Diabetes Program
    Offered every other month. Registration Required.
  • Diabetes Support Group
    Every other month with events, including picnics and holiday parties
  • Diabetes Education 10-hour program
    Three 3-hour classes and a shopping tour @ Medina Tops Friendly Market. Registration Required.
