Shift and Status
Full time Status with opportunities for additional pick-up shifts
Day Shift 630a-230p, 7a-3p, 8a-4p
Competitive pay and benefits package including health, dental, vision, pension and 403(b) plans!
Up to thirty-five dollars per hour extra incentive for additional shift pick-ups!
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative is our “Admissions Expert”, and first impression of Orleans Community Health! The Patient Services Representative is responsible for the registration of patients and processing/resolution of registration reports. This position also managing the switchboard and communicates with internal and external customers. This position requires a drive for helping people, an extremely high level of organization, with the ability to prioritize on a daily basis. A vital part of our Admissions Team, this position must demonstrate professionalism in both dress and speech, along with proper phone etiquette and must demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to serve the public!
Requirements
Keyboard experience (40-60 wpm).
High school diploma; supplemented with one (1) year of related medical office experience.
Successful completion of an accredited medical office training program may be substituted for the required one (1) year medical office experience.
Professional in attitude, conduct, and appearance.
Knowledge of various insurance requirements and medical terminology.
Verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal/human relations skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Orleans Community Health is comprised of Medina Memorial Hospital, (a designated Critical Access Hospital), Renal Dialysis Centers located in Medina and Batavia, NY, Primary and Walk-In Clinic in Albion, NY, a 30 bed Skilled Nursing Home, Outpatient and Ambulatory Services, and Community Partners Wellness Center.
