It’s that time of year – spring allergies have arrived!

Spring allergy solutions are exactly what we're looking for.
Let’s outsmart spring allergies! We want to help you come up with an effective strategy to alleviate symptoms and improve your quality of life. Here are some initial tips:
√Yard Work: Pollen counts are higher in the morning – hold off on outdoor tasks until the afternoon or early evening, if possible.
√Windows: We’ve waited all winter long for fresh air, but keep in mind that pollens will enter your home if you keep windows open. Consider air conditioners and air purifiers to help.
√Pets: If your pets go outside, they will bring pollens inside. Helpful hint: wipe them down with a damp towel. Special pet allergy wipes can be used and remember to vacuum daily.
√Rain: Rain can wash away pollen from surfaces, but rain breaks pollen and mold into smaller airborne fragments that are easily inhaled. Let things settle after a rainstorm before heading outside.
√One Last Tip: don’t wait until peak pollen season to take your allergy medication. Medications for allergy relief can actually take 2-4 weeks to reach full potency. Oral antihistamines kick in between 30 – 60 minutes, so time those medications before you head into your yard or garden.
