Ambulatory Patient Representative

Orleans Community Health is in search of a compassionate and dependable Full Time Ambulatory Patient Representative for our Albion Clinic, located in Albion, NY.  If you are a people person that is detail-oriented and likes to work in a team environment, then we’d love to talk with you!

Shift and Status

Full Time status

8am-6pm or 8am-3pm, 1 Saturday per month only

No holidays!

Position Summary

To be considered for the Ambulatory Patient Representative position, the primary duties will consist of check-in/out procedures for patients on multiple provider’s schedules.  The collection, verification and system entry of patient and insurance information.  The distribution of data, collection of copays, scheduling of all necessary testing, obtaining authorizations from insurance companies, telephone triage, and appointment scheduling.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and analyze general directions pertaining to patient medical correspondences from the clinical team.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • General mathematical skills.
  • Advanced secretarial skills. Experience with Microsoft Suite. EMR knowledge

Orleans Community Health is comprised of Medina Memorial Hospital, (a designated Critical Access Hospital), Renal Dialysis Centers located in Medina and Batavia, NY, Primary and Walk-In Clinic in Albion, NY, a 30-bed Skilled Nursing Home, Outpatient, and Ambulatory Services, and Community Partners Wellness Center.
