The DAISY Foundation is renowned for its commitment to celebrating the compassion, skill, and dedication of nurses worldwide. Orleans Community Health announced a partnership with the DAISY Foundation in 2024.

Established in 1999, the DAISY Foundation was created by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at the age of 33 due to complications of the autoimmune disease Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP). DAISY stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem.
