Orleans Community Health recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its acquisition of a new CT scanner. The new General Electric CT scanner has exclusive low dose technology that significantly reduces dose while maintaining the high image quality needed for accurate diagnosis.
The new machine will allow for up to 40 percent less radiation exposure for patients. It provides fast, high-quality acquisition at optimized dose for patients young and old, large and small and can be used across a wide spectrum of procedures including cardiac, angiography, brain, chest, abdomen, orthopedic, and more.
“I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this possible, including General Electric”, said Dolores Horvath, Orleans Community Health CEO. “This is part of a wave of improvements at the hospital and the Orleans Community Health.”
